The weekend, May 11/12 Sunny & hot Castlegar, BC
Yesterday morning Garnett made pancakes for breakfast while I cooked some bacon. With a jar of Ontario maple syrup that Garnett also had, we tucked into a delicious breakfast. Mmmmm, was it ever good.
I took a couple of pictures of Garnett's cargo trailer while he was being chef extraordinaire. If you look closely at the lower picture, you can see Rosie, his Springer Spaniel.
Garnett's trailer is set up for boondocking. He has a couple of solar panels on the roof so he can go for extended periods without having to plug in like we do.
Because he really enjoys "camping", he designed his trailer with a kitchen at the rear. If the weather is inclement, he has a cover that fits over the open rear doors so he can cook under cover.
Notice the sayings he put on the rear doors.
On our walk around the park Saturday evening, I took this picture. Ali is on the left, Matilda is on the right.
Today, Sunday, was another hot day. One of our neighbours in the park suggested that we should check out Syringa Provincial Park, up the valley a short distance on the Arrow Lakes. So off we went. Syringa is a typical BC provincial park...lots of secluded campsites with no services, and a few sites, side by each, that have electrical.
Tomorrow we head to Nelson, BC and on to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park. We'll be there for 4 nights. Next Friday, we'll move to an RV park just south of Kaslo where we have reservations for the coming May long weekend.
Stay tuned.
