As I was researching the Brilliant suspension bridge over the last couple of days, I came across an interesting article in a local paper-the Columbia Valley Pioneer.

Castlegar is at the confluence of the Columbia and Kootenay rivers. Kootenay River RV park, where we are staying, is, as its name implies, is on the Kootenay River, east of Castlegar proper

There is another bridge, north of town, that crosses the Columbia River. It is that bridge that this article is all about. Talk about a small world (again)!
