Monday Jul 15                                                Sun/cloud & afternoon rain                                        Trail, BC
Today was moving day.

After 2 lovely weeks at Kootenay River RV Park, we moved to Trail and the municipal RV park there. It was a short drive. We stopped at the only Rest Area on the highway and made a coffee.

BJ, the host, at the Trail municipal RV park was very welcoming.

We backed into site 6 and set up. We're here for 2 weeks. We're excited to explore Trail, a town we've driven through a few times, but never stopped to really have a good look around.
We relaxed for the afternoon then after tea we went for a walk. The park is close to the Waneta Mall. We decided to go check out the No Frills grocery store at the far end of the mall. We walked through the lot of a Ford dealership.

I suggested to Jen that we should look for a new truck. So we did.

So now for something completely different, let's go Ford shopping.

First up, a nice shiny new F150 XLT...
Next, a nice new F350 with lots of chrome...
Here's a great example of why I don't like the new trucks - they're just too big. The Ford is a 2019, the GMC 2011. This is just my personal opinion; your opinion may vary.
Next up is a shiny red F350 with lots of chrome...
$80,044.00
$60,799.00
$76,299.00
Well, so far, these prices are depressing. Let's look at something a little smaller, perhaps a Transit. People use these little "vans" to carry their power wheelchairs. Hmmmm...
$33,080.00
Okay, so what's a little less expensive? How about a Fiesta?
$22,024.00
So wasn't that fun?!

It's been a long time since we went car shopping. In fact the last new car I bought was in 1982 - a new Chevrolet Camaro. We were not surprised at today's prices, just not for us.

Tomorrow we start to explore Trail. Join us then.
