Tuesday Jul 23 Sunny & hot Trail, BC
This morning we drove to Gyro Park and walked along the Columbia River. It started to get very warm towards the end of our walk; even more reason to visit the Bridge View Cafe right on the river.
We parked across from the park and realized that we had not brought any water with so we walk to a corner store. On the way there we saw this novel use of pallets.
Join us as we walk along the might Columbia River.
At the boat launching ramp, right next to the new Trail Sk8 park, I walked down the launching ramp to take a couple of pictures.
Here's the Sk8 park that boarders have been waiting for for 20 years. The landscapers were just working on the deck and benches when I chatted with one of them.
Who can resist swinging on a swing? Not me!!
After coffee and a treat at the Bridge View cafe, we headed back to the RV park via Safeway. Jen's going to make one of our favourite salads for dinner: Nectarine/Tomato/Feta Cheese. We had to pick up a few items.
As I write this blog at 1500 Tuesday, the temperature outside is 107F, 41.8C. Thank heavens for our a/c!!
Tomorrow, I'm going to do the Teck/Cominco tour. That should be fun.
