Friday Aug 16 Sunny & hot Midway, BC
This morning, after a visit to the local Grand Forks Farmers Market, we packed up and headed west. When we got to Greenwood, it was time for coffee. We parked on the main drag and walked to the Copper Eagle.
We've stopped here on previous trips. The coffee and treats are great. The ambience is great too.
As we walked back to the rig, we passed this store front. So many toasters!
How 'bout these sunflowers! Check out the colours.
We arrived at the Midway municipal campground.
For dinner, we decided to try something different. A visit to the local grocery store resulted in a 12" uncooked "Canadian" pizza finding its way home with us.
I cut it in half, put some tin foil over the grill, warmed up the BBQ and plopped on the pizza. Admittedly, the first half was a little crunchy as the crush burned slightly on the bottom. For the second half, I twisted some pieces of tin foil to keep the pizza off the flat tin foil. The second half cooked nicely without the crust burning. We will have to do this again!
We're here in Midway for 3 days. Not sure what we're going to get up to over the weekend so join us next time to find out.
