Thursday, July 14 & Friday, July 15                                                                                            Creston, BC
Well, another lovely morning here in Creston. I hope you are having nice weather as well.

After our short visit the other day, I know Good Company Coffee is open today, so away we go!

If you remember, we discovered this coffee shop on the way to Skimmerhorn Winery. Well, it was worth the wait - what a lovely spot.
Nuff said. See you next time!
Such a lovely setting!

On the way back to Alfie, we found this feline who appeared to be very happy as well.

Back at Scotties, later in the afternoon, we were getting ready to meet up with our girlfriend, Shirley G., who is on a bus tour going to Drumheller, Alberta for a Passion play.

We were originally going to meet her in Yahk yesterday so we decided to drive up to Cranbrook and stop in Yahk on the way back. To make a long story short, wrong day. No blame.

The staff were very friendly and outgoing. We ordered coffee (Americano) as they do not offer drip coffee. The treats were just as tasty. Of course, in my haste to devour mine, I didn't take any pictures. I guess we will have to visit again, eh?!
So today is the day - 4 p.m. After a change of venue, we met Shirl
at the Dairy Queen at the east end of town. The big white bus
turned into the road leading to the Community Centre complex, turned around and parked facing Hwy 3.

We pulled up across the street and hopped out. Shirley was "charging" down the bus aisle and was first off to greet us both.

We walked the short distance to the DQ, sat in the cool, and chatted for about 15 mins. Then it was time for Shirl to get back on the bus and head east to Cranbrook, tonight's stop for the tour. It was really great to have a few minutes together in of all places, Creston.

The next day, Friday, we drove into a health food store just off the
main drag. Jen didn't feel like using her chair. I didn't feel like walking
into town in the summer heat.

In the store I noticed this definition:

I suggested a walk and got Jen's chair out of the van.

On the walk on the shady side of Canyon Street - the main street
of Creston, a.k.a. Hwy 3, I noticed this announcement of
a new tax at one of the local establishments:
