Saturday, Sep 17                                                                                                             100 Mile House, BC
Another day, another visit to 100 Mile's marsh for a walk. I didn't mention the other day that the marsh is located very close to 100 Mile's small airport.

In this picture Alfie is parked off in the distance. The airport runway, altho you cannot see it, is between the tree on the left and the sign post. Here are some of the hangars that keep the small private planes out of the weather.
As we walked towards the Visitor Centre on the main highway, we notice a cairn. We read the plaques on it.
In the first picture in this entry, way off in the distance you might be able to see some rail cars. Jen & I decided to go check them out. And.....here they are.
Because the tracks are not close to "downtown" 100 Mile, it is easy to forget that this is a very important rail line.
This is our last day in the Cariboo. Tomorrow we head down the hill to Cache Creek for the night, then on to friends in Chilliwack. Catch you then.
