We returned "home" to Parksville on Sat Aug 15. The drive north from Victoria was tiring - lots of traffic. I joined Jennie for her afternoon rest and caught a few winks myself.
Great friends Betty and Frank made supper Saturday night. We were joined by Joy & Andy and Christine.
We've got some work/improvements to make to the trailer AND some work for Betty and Frank around their place.
We had a pleasant surprise early in the week. Good friend Donna from Richmond, BC contacted us and asked if we were up for a visit on the weekend. "Mais certainment!". So Donna caught the early morning Saturday ferry and joined us for the weekend.
Our "rig" worked well - Jen and I were in the trailer, while Donna had her private quarters in the van.
So unless something else really exciting happens, this is the end of the first leg of our trip.
