Jul 10 - Irving Eco Centre & Murray Beach Provincial Park, NB
Tomorrow we are booked into a provincial park in northern PEI for 2 days. We'll take our time in the morning and cross the bridge. We'll enjoy the trip across 'cause it's free.

See you on PEI.

Okay, not so fast there Mason. You're still in New Brunswick

After a grueling night last night – seemed some "partiers" were wont to sit
around the campfire and sing all manner of songs until well after 2 a.m.
Inconsiderate boors!! I suppose we should count ourselves lucky. This is
the first time we have encountered such selfish and ignorant behaviour.
So much for the campground "patrol" to ensure the quiet time
(12 midnight on the weekends) is respected. Anyway a set of earplugs
and sleep soon came our way.

Summer still seems a long way off around these parts. This morning was cloudy with a little mist in the air but the temperature was 16C. Knowing that didn't make it feel any more like summer!

We headed south along the coastal route such as it is. But eventually the road got so rough with patches, frost-heaves, pot holes, etc. that we turned around and headed back to Hwy 11.

Jen wanted to stop at the Irving Eco Centre in Bouctouche so we headed there. On the way we stopped at a parking area on the side of the street and Jen noticed this.

We continued along the coast and arrived at the Eco Centre. It was raining very lightly – you could walk between the rain drops – so we headed out on the boardwalk.
We walked a short distance along the boardwalk then took a side trip back through the forest to the main building.

Back at the rig, we decided to stop in Shediac for a coffee break. Shediac is home to the world's largest lobster. It is also recognized the world over as the "Lobster Capital of the World!"

Traffic was very busy this morning as we navigated the roads around the "lobster" and the shopping mall just a short distance away. Driving over a bridge, we noticed a small unpopulated park so turned right and parked the rig.
The sand dune stretches 12 km (7.5 miles).
Back on the road, we now headed for Hwy 15 which runs to the Confederation Bridge to PEI. I suggested to Jen that we take a look at Murray Beach Provincial Park. This park is right on the Northumberland Strait. We pulled in and got a nice spot overlooking the strait. Now if it would just stop raining and clear up so we could see the view!
