Jul 30 - Belleveaus Cove & Yarmouth, NS
This morning, in the fog, we left Whale Cove Campground on Digby Neck.
Unfortunately the fog prevailed for most of the way to Yarmouth so we really
didn't get to see much of the coastline.
We stopped in Belleveaus Cove at a roadside park for a coffee. Just on the
offchance, I thought I'd just see if there was any free wifi lurking about. Much
to my surprise, the town has a free wifi network, so I connected and sent a
couple of emails.
After coffee we walked over to the Farmer's Market on the other side of the
harbour – there was no parking for the rig over there. The market was small
but we picked up some blueberries and raspberries for dessert tonight.
We arrived at the campground just outside of Yarmouth in the early afternoon. We are in a nicely treed pullthru site, so we didn’t have to disconnect Alfie and Ali.
That's about it for today. Tomorrow we head "home" to Shore Drive in Conquerall Bank.
See you there.
Some of the homes in the villages are quite picturesque.
The first part of the drive today was along Hwy 1 and the Acadian coast. Acadian flags were everywhere and the churches were, ahem, very large. We missed the first absolutely huge one, but managed to take a pic of this one. Man, such huge churches in such small communities!
