Tuesday, June 7                                                                                                                           Creston, BC
We awoke this morning to sunshine and a warming temperature. We just had to get out and enjoy, so we decided to take a short trip east to Yahk, BC.

To be honest there is not much there. Population as at 2016 was 162. But we've only ever driven through Yahk. Today, it is time to stop and have a look around.

We pulled off the main highway and parked in at the front of Two Scoop Steve's.
Just around the corner, a sneak peek at the Skimmerhorn range. There's a winery out there that we will be re-visiting!
Back at Scotties, later in the afternoon, we went for a walk. Debbie certainly has a green thumb. We were admiring this Peony "tree" when she approached us. We've never seen anything like this. And Debbie has a red one that is just about to bloom.

For dessert, what else?!

At Two Scoop Steve's, ICE CREAM. Jen ordered a two-scoop in a dish. I didn't take a picture (I should have!) but I have never seen so much ice cream for 7 bucks! Thank you Steve!!

As we pulled back on Hwy 3 heading back from Creston, I snapped this old caboose sitting in a field.
What a lovely garden walk. Thanks for sharing!

Well, that worked up an appetite. Let's go see what's for lunch.

We split the Soup & Sandwich combo. Jen's soup was Roasted Carrot, Sweet Potato, and Ginger. I had the Chicken sandwich.
Please join us as we wander through the gardens to the Moyie River.

As we walked towards the cafe, I noticed this sign. We decided to go look at the river then have a bite.

Showers are forecast for tomorrow, but never fear. If we do something exciting, it will be here.
