Friday, July 1                              H A P P Y   C A N A D A    D A Y ! ! !                              Creston, BC
Another nice day. We went for a walk into downtown Creston earlier this afternoon.

Along the main street (Hwy 3, I noticed these Canada Day signs in a store front. I thought I would share them with you.

With all due respect to our northern native people, some of them do eat blubber. I thought the rest of the message was important.

That's it so far today. The fireworks display is later this evening. This is the first fireworks in 3 years due to Covid and fires/heat in this part of BC.

Just before 10 p.m. I drove towards the Creston Community Centre. This is where the fireworks are. I walked the short distance to the parking lot in front of the Centre. The fireworks were set up on the playing field to the left. People and cars were everywhere.

Here is a shot of the Centre from Google Maps.
Here it is when I arrived this evening.

About 5 minutes later, the show began. The fireworks lit up the sky and continued non-stop for 30 minutes. Well done, Creston!!

I took a lot of pictures but as you can image, a lot of them were too late, too early, or just not "right".

Here are a few just to give you an idea.
That's it for today and tonight.

See you next time.
