Farmers' Market today!
As we have done in previous weeks, we walked the trail by the railroad tracks into town and stopped for a coffee at Buffalo Trails.
On the way there, just past where the Farmer's Market is located, was this strange object. This is new!!
Over the last few weeks, a large hole was dug at the back of Millenium Park. Then wood (cribbing) was installed.
It's been a couple of weeks since we've walked this way, so, imagine our surprise when we came across this.
I walked around the base of the monument but there was no plaque, nothing to indicate what or why this plane was here.
We continued our walk into town, had our coffee and then stopped at the Farmers' Market on the way back to Scotties.
Oh, by the way, yesterday we visited a cherry orchard just down the road and picked up 3 lbs of cherries for $12 - yup, $4/lb right out of the orchard! Perhaps, another reason to move to Creston?!
I did a bit of research when we got back to the rig. The Golden Centennaires, well here, I'll let Wikipedia explain...
