Today we head to Victoria on Vancouver Island via BC Ferries.
We said goodbye to Barry & Sonya and shortly before 10 a.m. hit the road. Barry's suggestion of staying off Hwy 1 was one we decided to use. We took the exit and skirted around the Abbotsford airport, along 16th Ave to Hwy 99, then north to Hwy 17 and the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. That only 1:34 hrs. Pretty darn quick and much less stress than Hwy 1.
We had reservations on the 1 p.m. sailing but decided, as there was space on the 12 p.m. sailing to go for that one.
I took these pictures of Active Pass. This is where the ferries usually meet going opposite directions. We did meet the ferry heading to Tsawwassen but I was on the wrong side of the boat!
