July 29 - Hope, BC (cont'd)

This morning we headed for the Othello Tunnels. These tunnels are about 5 kms east of Hope. Quite the site! 

I suggested to Jen that Mattie and I would scout out how far it was to the start of the tunnels. When Mattie and I returned to the van, Jen wanted to go for a walk. (I'd forgotten that Mattie & I were just supposed to be going on a recon mission!) 

Jennie and I walked all the way to the first tunnel entrance. Jen paced herself and made it back to the van, tired, but pleased that she had done the walk.
