Sep 24 - A Very Sad Day...
Our beloved "Mattie" passed away this morning.

In other news of the day, we caught the ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend and arrived at Elma RV Park in Elma, WA around
2 pm.

It rained overnight, and with the events of yesterday, we decided to stay an extra day in Elma. The park hosts are really great - homemade chocolate chip cookies upon arrival yesterday,
and today (but I had to kill an elusive fly to earn my cookies today ;>).
We took time this morning to research our next stop. The distance we travel each day is not great, and we are in no hurry, so tomorrow we head for Chinook, on the Washington coast just up the road from the bridge over the Columbia River to Astoria, Oregon. We'll take a side trip to Westport out on the coast where we're told by the camp hosts, the coffee is "to die for." Can't pass up a recommendation like that!
