Apr 11 - Catch Up on the Last Week

For the past week we have been attending to necessary items to be done before our departure:

1. Our laptop and BlackBerrys once again talk to each other (don't ask!)

2. New driving lights on Alfie (replacements for the old ones) now work (don't ask!)

3. We now have a dining room table!

What a luxury having the table is!! I don't know why I didn't think of it a long time ago. The table pivots on a closet rod in the rear doorway and can be stored in the upright position. When we need to bring Jen's wheelchair inside, the table slips out of the brackets

and is stored elsewhere. 

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch on Saturday at the Black Goose Inn with our old neighbours Colin and Shirley.

On Sunday we had dinner at the Shady Rest Pub with our good friends Barry and Lynne.

The only other news of note is we decided today to begin our trip east on Tue Apr 19 when we board BC Ferries and head to the mainland.
